7 reasons why children prefer artificial grass
As an adult, you can think of many reasons why you would choose artificial grass. It stays green, is practical, hardly distinguishable from natural grass, easy, multifunctional, hardly requires any maintenance, etc.
But if you would ask your children openly, would they choose natural or artificial grass?
We think the latter based on these 7 arguments:
- 1.Artificial grass is soft and has a nice feel
The newest types of artificial grass are really soft and have a very nice feel to them. Honestly: if your baby doesn’t crawl yet, this would be his incentive to start crawling 😉 So nice and soft. Especially when compared with natural grass in a dry spell. In summer, the season when children often play outside, natural grass tends to be relatively hard. - 2. Artificial grass won’t stain clothes
There is zero chance of getting those nasty, almost impossible to remove green stains on the knees of your pants with artificial grass. Let your children play soccer, romp and frolic around. They will sometimes probably fall on the grass, but their clothes will stay clean! - 3. Artificial grass dries up quicker
After rainfall, natural grass stays wet longer than artificial grass. Artificial grass simply dries quicker. Especially when the sun is shining. Just look for cover from the rain, wait a short while and go back outside to play. - 4. A pool is no problem for artificial grass
You want to put a pool on natural grass? That’s possible. However, if you leave the pool on the grass for a couple of weeks, the grass will be visibly and often permanently damaged. The fibers from artificial grass will be flattened if a pool has been put on them for a long period of time. However, you can fix this by simply brushing the grass back to its original state. - 5. Children can play on artificial grass 365 days per year
Natural grass requires maintenance. It needs to be detached, fertilised, sprayed and patches need to be sown or installed again… This all means that at least a couple of weeks a year, your lawn is a prohibited zone. Artificial grass, however, doesn’t need maintenance works. Once it’s been installed, you can play on it 365 days per year. - 6. No need for that foot-bath
We’re not joking. This really is a big advantage of artificial grass. Isn’t it annoying: that silly foot-bath next to your pool on natural grass. You need to wash your feet first in the foot-bath to avoid that your pool will look like a pond where frogs feel more at home than your children. (Okay, maybe we’re exaggerating a tad, but you know what we mean.) - 7. You can play football the entire year on artificial grass
More and more football clubs are switching to artificial grass for a reason: the football pitch is perfect the entire year. Unfortunately, we can’t guarantee that your child will become the new Messi thanks to our artificial grass. But on the other side: if he does, we won’t expect a share of his winnings 😉
